SIT for Change

2nd Annual Sit-A-Thon: September 19, 2009 in MLK Park, Berkeley

We are a community partner of SIT for Change, a nationwide event held in conjunction with the International Day of Peace, Global Mala for Peace, and National Yoga Month. Two ways you can participate: Sign up some sponsors and sit! This works just like a walk-a-thon: friends and colleagues pledge to sponsor your partipation with a donation, but instead of walking, you sit. Or sign up to work the CoG’s info table.

ChocolatePlease join us for The COG’s first “Super Second Sunday,” a monthly event for both the community and COG members to enjoy food, music, and each other. This month, come celebrate, learn about, and sample all kinds of chocolates. This event is free.

Plus: You’ll get to chat with and learn from the owners of Sweet Earth Organic Chocolates who will guide you in tasting 5 chocolates, paired with 5 fruits, as you discover chocolate’s many nuances and flavors.

The Team Leader Meeting is for Team Leaders to support each other, solve problems, and learn how to run their shifts.  Any Team Leaders or those interested in becoming Team Leaders are welcome.

Team Leader Meetings are the 1st Monday of every month.

The next scheduled meeting is Monday, January 4th; this month’s meeting is at 7:00.
